Ocio opened in August 2013 on a quiet street in Provenza. Many guides and reviews call it OCI.mde. The chef and owner is Laura Londoño, who studied at the Institut Paul Bocuse in Lyon and worked in kitchens in Paris, Italy and Sydney before coming back to Medellín.
The menu changes every six months with Colombian products: fish from the Pacific, Andean tubers, flowers and herbs from organic farms. The house is known for long, low-temperature cooking, and the dish people mention most is the ribs. You order to share at the table.
Today it's in a house in La Florida, El Poblado, with a glass-roofed bar facing the trees. Eighties music plays and there's a wine and cocktail list.
