Parque de los Deseos

Parque de los Deseos is an open plaza in northern Medellín, right next to the Planetarium and a few steps from Universidad metro station. Parque Explora and the Jardín Botánico are also next door, so you can make a full day of the area.

Fundación EPM runs it. It hosts open-air film screenings, concerts, workshops and exhibitions, and the programming is free. The park also houses the Casa de la Música, opened in 2005, where local bands rehearse for free.

In the afternoon it fills with students from the Universidad de Antioquia, right across the street. On weekends families come with kids to play in the park's water and sand.

Metro: Universidad station (Line A); the park is about 150 meters away.
Bus: routes heading to Aranjuez, Bello, Castilla and Robledo pass through the area.
