What do you want to do
Universidad de Antioquia's museum in Block 15 of the Ciudad Universitaria campus. Open Tuesday to Saturday, entry is free, and you walk onto campus showing ID.
The MUUA was born in 1970 by merging the university's Natural Sciences Museum, founded in 1942, and its Anthropology Museum, from 1943. It's in Block 15, a brick building inside the Ciudad Universitaria campus, and it holds four collections: anthropology, natural sciences, visual arts and the history of the university.
On the second floor is the Anthropology room, with pre-Hispanic pottery, goldwork and objects from Indigenous and Afro-Colombian communities from the country's regions. On the third is Natural Sciences, with taxidermied animals in recreated habitats, whale skeletons and astronomy and evolution displays. The art rooms change every semester.
Entry is free. To get onto campus, visitors walk through the Metro gate, across from Universidad station, showing ID. Groups can request a free guided visit 15 business days ahead.
