La Vitrola has been on Calle Baloco for about 30 years and is one of the city's classic restaurants. The room has ceiling fans, old photos on the walls and a band that plays Cuban son every night.

The menu is more Colombian than Cuban: ceviches, grouper prepared several ways, tuna and breaded prawns. Ropa vieja is one of the few Cuban dishes.

It's open for lunch, but night is when it fills up and the atmosphere comes alive. It's expensive, and getting a table in high season is hard.
