Castillogrande continues on from Bocagrande toward the tip, but it's more residential and quiet. Its beach faces the bay, so the water is usually calm, and there are fewer vendors and more space than in Bocagrande.
On the bay side there's a promenade where people jog, ride bikes, walk the dog or sit and chat. At the tip is the Club Naval, which isn't open to the public, but the sunset view from around it is one of the good ones in the city.
Don't expect turquoise water: it's a city beach. It's good for some time by the sea without leaving Cartagena, especially with kids.
