San Diego is the neighborhood in the north of the walled city, more residential and quiet than the area around the Cathedral. Its plaza is small, with trees, benches and colorful houses around it.
Next to it is the Bellas Artes school, and a few blocks away are Las Bóvedas and the wall. It's a good place to people-watch without the noise of the Torre del Reloj area.
At dusk the restaurants set tables out on the plaza, and that's where San Diego's night begins, which is more about eating and having a drink than partying.
