Festival Mundial de Salsa de Cali, 21st edition

The 21st edition of the Festival Mundial de Salsa won't be a competition. After the earthquake, the city government and the dance schools agreed to turn it into a gathering of Cali's whole salsa world: dance schools, dancers, orchestras, musicians, music lovers and record collectors.
It kicks off Friday, October 23 to Sunday, October 25 at the Teatro al Aire Libre Los Cristales, continues Saturday, November 7 in barrio Obrero, the cradle of Cali salsa, and closes Saturday, November 14 and Sunday, November 15 on the Bulevar del Oriente. There will also be activities in public libraries and universities.
The city government hasn't published the artists or the daily schedule yet. If you're coming to dance, Los Cristales sits above San Antonio and El Peñón, a good area to stay those days.
