Café Revolución opened in 2014 on a corner facing Primer Parque de Laureles, near the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana. A Canadian-Hungarian couple started it, and it was one of the neighborhood's first independent specialty coffee shops.
The coffee comes from Tolima. They make espresso, cappuccino, latte, cold brew and pour-over methods, and they have smoothies. To eat there are bagels, paninis, eggs, pancakes and a house breakfast plate served all day.
The place is small: a few tables inside, a wall painted with leaves and a terrace with plants on the sidewalk. There's a laptop area with outlets and wifi, and the staff speaks English.
