It's a neighborhood of houses, apartment buildings and offices. Some blocks are still only residential; on others the ground floors are restaurants, cafés and doctors' offices.
Calle 8 has several restaurants. That's where you'll find La Matriarca, in a big old house with live music some nights, and cafés like Urbania. At Calle 9 and Carrera 43B there are several small bars, and MUY is on Carrera 43C.
During the day the offices keep it busy: coffee, set lunches and meetings. At night it's a place for dinner and an unhurried drink. Manila is across Calle 10, and Provenza is about a 15-minute walk across Avenida El Poblado.
