Arena USC (Universidad Santiago de Cali)

Its full name is Arena USC Carlos Andrés Pérez Galindo, after the university president who pushed for it. It opened in December 2024, during the Feria de Cali.

It's an enclosed auditorium with numbered seats on the floor and in balconies. It holds over 2,200 people depending on the setup; the university has given figures of up to 2,600. There are about 800 covered parking spaces under the building.

By September 2026 it had hosted more than 87 events and about 100,000 people, according to El País. On August 7, 2026, it hosted the presidential inauguration of Abelardo de la Espriella, the first held outside Bogotá.

The lineup mixes concerts, symphony orchestras, comedy, circus and conferences. Tickets are sold through QR Boletos.

Getting there

• MIO: Pampalinda station, on Calle 5 at Carrera 62, across from the university. Metrocali closed it after the August 2026 earthquake; check whether it has reopened before you go.
• MIO, alternative: Unidad Deportiva station, on Calle 5 at Carrera 52, then walk or take a short taxi ride south.
• Taxi or car: along Calle 5 to the Pampalinda campus; the covered parking is under the arena.

Tips

• If you drive, use the university's covered parking and arrive early: with 2,000 people leaving at once, Calle 5 backs up.
• Before heading out, check with Metrocali whether Pampalinda station is running.
• Buy from QR Boletos, the arena's official ticket seller.
• The nearest area with hotels for visitors is the west of Cali. In El Peñón, Altio and Bit Hotels El Peñón are about 5 km away in a straight line.
