Pergamino is a coffee brand run by the Echavarría family. About four decades ago Pedro Echavarría bought a farm in Amagá and found abandoned coffee plants under the forest; today the crops are in Santa Bárbara, Antioquia.
In 2012 they opened their first shop in Medellín, on Carrera 37 in El Poblado, and by the end of 2022 they had seven locations in the city, one of them in Laureles. They roast and serve their own harvest lots.
The Carrera 37 shop has tables facing the street and is a meeting point in the area. They also sell whole-bean coffee to take home.
