Criminal started in 2016 with the idea of making tacos in Medellín like the ones on the street in Mexico. Today it has several locations, and the Manila one is on the neighborhood's busiest restaurant corner, Carrera 43E and Calle 11A.
The menu is painted on the wall: al pastor, arrachera, cochinita, birria, chicken, chorizo and pork belly tacos, plus a vegetarian one and a vegan pastor. There are also short rib tacos, nachos, elotes, quesadillas and burritos. To drink there are aguas frescas, horchata, ice-cold beer, tequila and mezcal.
The place mixes a white-tiled room with neon signs and a photo altar, and an open-air patio with colorful tables under big plants and a ceiling covered in decorative chili peppers. On Tuesdays they have a taco deal.
