Chipichape sits on the lot where the Ferrocarril del Pacífico workshops used to be: the first locomotive arrived in Cali there in 1905, and trains were repaired there. The building echoes the architecture of the old station and has a locomotive on display.
It opened around 1995 and turned 30 in 2025. It has shops, restaurants, cafés and parking.
