Pance is the river locals head to on weekends. It's south of the city, in the rural district of the same name, about 20 minutes from south Cali.

In the river basin is the Ecoparque de la Biodiversidad, which opened on June 15, 2025 as a legacy of COP16. It covers more than 90 hectares with trails, a pollinator garden, and lookouts toward the Western Andes and the river. It has recorded 257 bird species, 50 mammals, 32 reptiles and 18 amphibians.

Tours are guided by Dagma park rangers, in groups of up to 30 people, and last about an hour. You have to register beforehand in the official app to get a QR code.
