It's a 4.7-hectare forest around a small lake in south Cali, between Ciudad Jardín and Pance. The loop is short, flat and shady, and takes less than an hour. What you'll see most are iguanas on the ground, turtles and fish in the water, squirrels and birds; DAGMA has recorded 149 bird species here.

The park was created in 1996. A year after American Airlines Flight 965 crashed near Buga in December 1995 with 159 people on board, relatives and residents planted trees here in memory of the victims. A remembrance is held every December. It's looked after by DAGMA, the CVC and Colegio Bolívar.

It's a morning plan: birds are more active early and it gets hot at midday. There's a kiosk with murals and places to sit. In July 2026 DAGMA held a birdwatching day here for Cali's 490th anniversary, and recent Google Maps reviews show it operating. We found no report of damage from the August 10, 2026 earthquake; before you go, confirm the hours with DAGMA.
